- IP address
- date and time of access
- page visited and previously visited page (referrer)
- browser type, browser version and operating system
This data is technically necessary to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Webflow. Webflow is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; in addition, the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission apply.
Contact, forms and book orders
If you contact us by email, by phone or via the contact form, we process the data you provide (for example your name, email address, phone number and the content of your message) in order to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or to pre-contractual measures; otherwise it is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
If you order a book using the order form, we process the details you provide (first and last name, email address, phone number, delivery method, delivery address, order and comments) in order to process the order, to ship the book or have it ready for collection, and to invoice the order. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We keep data required for invoicing for as long as tax and commercial law require (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
If you reserve tickets using the form on an event page, we process the details you provide (first and last name, email address, phone number, day of visit, number of tickets and the event) in order to have your tickets ready at the ticket desk and to contact you if there are any questions. If you register as an exhibitor, we process the details you provide (company or brand, contact person, email address, phone number, website and your description) in order to review your registration and send you the terms of participation. In both cases, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed for the event, unless statutory retention obligations apply.
To send all forms on this website (contact, book order, ticket reservation and exhibitor registration), we use the Formspark service. The provider is Trampoline Software SRL, Rue de Marsannay-la-Côte 16, 5032 Mazy, Belgium. Formspark receives the form data, stores it on servers in Ireland and Germany and forwards it to us by email. Your IP address is also processed for spam protection. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider.
We delete your enquiry once it has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations prevent this.
Cookies and consent
This website uses cookies and similar technologies. We use technically necessary cookies on the basis of our legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. All other cookies and services, in particular those for statistics and for displaying maps, are only activated after you have given your consent via the cookie banner (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).
We use the Finsweet Cookie Consent tool to manage your consent. It stores your choice in a cookie in your browser so that the banner does not reappear every time you open a page. You can withdraw or change your consent at any time with effect for the future by clicking “Cookies” in the footer of the website.
Google Tag Manager
We use Google Tag Manager, provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Tag Manager is a tool that lets us manage website tags centrally and trigger them only after you have given your consent. It does not create user profiles itself and does not carry out any analyses of its own. However, your IP address is transmitted to Google when the service loads. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the orderly management of the services we use under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Google Analytics 4
If you have given your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how the website is used, for example pages visited, time spent on the site, approximate location and the device used. This analysis helps us to improve what we offer.
Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses permanently. The data collected may be transferred to servers of Google LLC in the USA. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. User-level and event-level data is retained for 2 months.
The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time via the cookie settings. You can also prevent data collection by installing Google’s browser add-on: tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
Google Maps
We embed maps from Google Maps, a service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is only loaded after you have given your consent via the cookie banner. Your IP address and usage data are then transmitted to Google, including to servers in the USA, and Google may set cookies. The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. For more information, please see Google’s privacy policy: policies.google.com/privacy
Scripts loaded via jsDelivr
For features such as the cookie banner, animations and playback of the video on the home page, we load software libraries via the jsDelivr content delivery network (www.jsdelivr.com). In doing so, your IP address is transmitted to the jsDelivr servers, as this is technically necessary to deliver the files. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website quickly and reliably under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Videos via Bunny Stream
The video at the top of the home page is delivered via Bunny Stream, a service provided by BunnyWay d.o.o., Dunajska cesta 165, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia. To play the video, your browser retrieves the video files directly from Bunny’s servers. In doing so, your IP address, the date and time of the request and information about your browser and operating system are transmitted to Bunny. Bunny is based in the European Union and does not set any cookies when delivering content. We have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in displaying video content quickly and reliably under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Travel information from the Open Data Hub
On event and course pages, the “Getting here” section shows information on travelling to South Tyrol by train, bus and car, as well as current traffic updates. This content comes from the Open Data Hub, a service provided by NOI AG/SpA, Via Alessandro Volta 13/A, 39100 Bolzano, Italy. When you open one of these pages, your browser loads program code, text and images directly from the Open Data Hub servers. In doing so, your IP address, the date and time of the request and information about your browser and operating system are transmitted to the provider. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing up-to-date and reliable travel information under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
