Mit Leinen leben
About the book
With this book, the author sets out to bring linen out of hiding: out of corners, chests and dusty little rooms. Linen deserves its rightful place in a new world of classic style and luxury, where it can inspire and delight people.
Above all, Ernestine Reisinger-Bürger is concerned with preserving traditional processing methods and design techniques. Ever since she founded her interior design shop, the use of linen in the home has been one of her main themes. Over many years of working with this fine natural material, she has refined time-honoured techniques and developed them for today, while also paying close attention to the proper care of these treasures. Sensitively designed, with clear texts and many harmoniously coloured illustrations, the book bears witness to the author's long experience with linen, a remarkable part of our cultural heritage.
With her book, the author wants to bring linen out of hiding, out of corners, chests and dusty little rooms. It is meant as a sign of reflection and of a new beginning alike, and aims to rekindle people's enthusiasm for linen.
